NEOLAW LLC (the “Firm,” “we,” or “us”) is providing this Privacy Policy to explain our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and security of certain information received by www.neolaw.com (the “Site”) and through other means. 

This policy explains how we process personal information within the meaning of US States privacy laws in California, Virginia, Connecticut and Utah and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws (“Data Protection Laws”). 

NEOLAW LLC is considered the “business” or “data controller” of the personal information that we collect through the Site or you voluntarily submit to us and we explain our legal bases for this collection and processing further below.  We also collect and process certain personal information as a “service provider” or “processor” for our clients subject to our contract with our client and our legal obligations.

As used in this Privacy Policy, “personal information” or “personal data” refers to information about an identified or identifiable individual, such as their name or email address as further explained below.

We receive personal information from (i) our clients, (ii) that you voluntarily submit to us, such as your name, email address, and other contact information, and (iii) when you email us to ask questions or contact us to explore a potential attorney-client relationship.

We use this information to provide you with legal services, to respond to your requests, to monitor and analyze our business operations and Site usage, and for our other business purposes. 

How we share personal information

We do not sell or share the personal data with third parties other than: (1) with your consent, (2) our service providers in connection with the provision of our services to our clients, (3) to protect our rights, or (4) as otherwise required or permitted by law.

Where required by Data Protection Laws, our legal bases to process personal information as a controller are as follows:

• Retain: We keep it for the purposes stated above and the period required for any client contract and we may keep copies made for backup and business continuity purposes for additional time. 
• Dispose: We may anonymize it, delete it or take other appropriate steps to dispose of it. 
• Store: Our services are provided in the United States and we store it in the United States.

In accordance with industry standards, we maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, however, we cannot guarantee the security of personal information as no system is completely secure or error-free.

If we hold your personal information you may request that we:

The Site is intended for users over the age of 18. We will comply with any applicable legal requirement to remove information if we become aware that a child under 16 (or a higher age threshold where applicable) has provided us with personal data.

We do not to serve any cookies or similar tracking technologies through our Site unless they are strictly necessary to deliver the Site. We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising or otherwise and as such do not display a cookie notice.
